About Me

My name is Keith Andersen (if you haven’t already figured that out).  I currently reside in Fredericksburg, VA. I would normally post my job title hear and spew on about what I do, but not this time. Instead I will give you and inkling of my interests and let you make the decision of who I am for yourself.

Design:

My degree is in Fine Arts  gear towards computer graphics, but over the past several years, I’ve been doing a hell of a lot more than just design on the web. I’ve worked as a design lead for several web development firms. I’ve designed traditional small websites, to the large web application websites and everything in between.

Most of my skills I learned on my own through hard work and practice.  All the companies I’ve worked with have been great learning experiences, but what I really enjoy these days is leading a team in the development of a Standards Compliant web application suite. It comes with alot of stress but to see a design come together while maintaining proper standards has been quite rewarding.

Development:

I suppose I can’t really say I’m much of a web-designer without some sort of development background — all self-taught, mind you. I enjoy programming mostly for the challenge, and partially for a kind of creativity you might not expect from programming. The ability to put together clear elegant coding solutions can bring great satisfaction.

Art:

I have always struggled to get to a certain level as an artist that I will never give up on reaching.  Throughout my college career I grew as an artist to the point that I can take these ideas I have and express them as I dream them. My main interest is to develop as a 3D animator to a level where I could peddle my skills.  As I’ve grown as an artist I have gained interest in more ot the traditional skills of drawing and plainting, as well as, crafting.  I have very liitle to show as I am my own worst crtitc and never like the end result and rarely reach my end result.

That’s it for the most part when it comes to major interests. I have so many others, but they are far less important to me than the ones I’ve discussed in brief.
