I've been building things on the web since 1996.
Before that I wanted to be a carpenter or an architect. I got sidetracked, and I've been developing websites ever since — most of it for people who will never see this page.
What's here is essays. Things I worked out slowly, usually the hard way, written down in case they're useful to someone else. Some of it is old, but stands the test of time. The majority are just rants.
